The CDC – now offering even more

It’s three years since the Coach Drivers Club gained a new look, a new logo, a new website and a new set of benefits for coach drivers throughout Britain and the team is now working to bring a more improved package for members, with more and more member benefits.
CDC manager Tony Henthorn says: “I want the decision of coach drivers throughout the UK to join the Club to be a ‘no-brainer’ – we offer a service and set of benefits that are unrivalled in the market. I’m really looking forward to welcoming many, many new members over the coming months!”
Once drivers sign-up to become a member of the Coach Drivers Club, they have immediate access to a wealth of information to help them in their day-to-day duties: The Drivers Handbook, first launched in 2007 is currently undergoing a ‘facelift’, being updated with all the latest rules and regulations and details of CPC training regulations. It will be available to ALL members (Basic or Full), in early 2011. The Handbook has up to the minute information about driver training, driver’s hours, employment law, health and safety issues, information about driving abroad and rules around the carriage of school children – topical and relevant facts and figures, highly-valued by many of our member drivers.
The CDC Yearbook, fondly referred to as ‘The Coach Drivers Bible’ throughout the industry, is packed with useful information and maps which detail most of the UK’s cities and towns. The yearbook also details many of the UK’s top group attractions. By using the on-line version, you can search for attractions by name or by region. The newly-introduced ‘Accommodation Finder’ within the yearbook will help you find coach-friendly hotels and by using the sections on route-planning and comfort breaks, you can use the online CDC Yearbook to plan your trips from start to finish. The 2011 edition will be sent to FULL members (basic members can ‘opt-in’ to receive a copy for just £14.99) in February and the directory for 2011 is going to be full of more useful driver information than ever before.

Once you are a member, make sure you sign up onto the CDC News, members forum. This is a service where members can exchange views and comments with each other - things like great places to stop and visit and ones to avoid!
By working with Towergate Chapman Stevens, the Club has negotiated an excellent accident insurance scheme for its members – we guarantee that you won’t get a better deal for this level of insurance anywhere else.
Our friends at Hammonds Solicitors provide members with a free half hour legal advice service, which, over the years, many of our members have found to be a very useful facility.
Whether you join as a full or basic member - you will be able to view the monthly on-line version of CDC News (just click the screen to turn the pages) packed with information, advice, comments and views from the world of coach driving.
The Club goes along to trade exhibitions (such as EuroBus Expo and Coach & Bus Live), where we like to meet and chat with our members. It is often at events like this that we get great ideas from members - ideas that we take back to the office and put into practice. We are always delighted to hear from members - so make sure you come along and see us at the next big trade show which is EuroBus Expo at the NEC in Birmingham on Tuesday 2nd November through to Thursday November the 4th. We look forward to meeting you there!
